CLEAN-UP CLUB

Holding a clean-up event is not only good for the environment but also a great opportunity for community spirit and a chance for parents to meet each other!

HOW IT WORKS

STEP 1:
Complete a risk assessment

STEP 2:
Pick a date and time

STEP 3:

Design a flyer and send out to parents

STEP 4:

Talk to children about litter and the effects it has on our local marine and wild life - you could read the EcoMarines book!

Tell them about the upcoming clean-up and how this will make a big difference to our world.

STEP 5:

Hold your clean-up! After your clean up, create a litter audit. This is where you and your students take not of the types of rubbish you collected from the clean-up, how much of each type there was, why is ended up as rubbish and way to make sure those items do not end up in local environments.

Please make sure you tag us on Facebook/Instagram and/or #ecomarines and submit your litter audits here to go in the draw to win a prize sponsored by Brisbane City Council!
